To schedule a stream, click the GO LIVE button. (Currently, stream scheduling is only available on the web.) Then click on "General Sports" or the league that you want to stream about and choose whether you want to talk about that league, a team within in that league, or Top News related to that league.
Now that you are at the screen where you edit your title, enter hashtags, etc., scroll down to see where it says "Schedule Stream." Toggle "Schedule Stream" ON.
Once you've toggled "Schedule Stream" ON, you will see a calendar. Choose the date and time when you would like to start your stream and then click "Save & Continue."
Now that you have chosen a date and time for your stream you can upload an image in the "Optional Thumbnail" section, which will serve as a thumbnail and holding screen until you are live. So, once you have completed the step below and completed the stream scheduling process, anyone dropping by your SportsCastr Channel will see your scheduled stream with the thumbnail image you have uploaded in this step.
If you do not upload an image in the "Optional Thumbnail" section, then the Thumbnail on your channel will either be a default image or, if you a Custom Thumbnail, if you have uploaded one.
You can toggle "Notify my Followers" ON. This will notify your followers that you have scheduled a stream. It will send your followers a second notification once you have actually started your live stream.
Once everything looks good to you, click "Schedule Stream." Your stream is now scheduled!
Your scheduled stream will now appear on your SportsCastr Channel. Anyone dropping my your Channel will see the Scheduled Stream's thumbnail. When they click on the thumbnail they will be able to live-chat and send Virtual Gifts and Tips.
I've scheduled my stream and now I want to start streaming. What do I do?
Once you have scheduled your stream by the steps above, simply navigate to that stream from your Channel or by click on "Streams" from your Dashboard, click on the thumbnail of your Scheduled Stream, and click "Start Now." Just like with any other SportsCastr live stream, once you click "Start Now" you will see a 3-2-1 countdown and then you will be live!
Can I start a Scheduled Stream early?
Sure! Once you have scheduled a stream you can click "Start Now" to begin you stream any time. If you have previously toggled "Notify my Followers" while setting up your Scheduled Stream, your followers will receive a notification that you have started a live stream.
Can I schedule multiple streams?
Totally! There is no limit to the number of streams that you can schedule. For every live stream you would like to schedule, simply follow the steps above.
Can I share a Scheduled Stream?
Absolutely! Go to your live stream and click either on the Share icon or click the More (•••) menu and select "Share Stream." You can share your scheduled stream before, during and after your live stream.
Can I embed a Scheduled Stream?
Of course! Go to your live stream and click either on the Embed ( < > ) icon or click the More (•••) menu and select "Embed Stream."
Can I edit a Scheduled Stream?
No. Once you have clicked "Schedule Stream" you cannot edit it. That is, you cannot change the time it is scheduled to begin, change the thumbnail, the title or any other information. If you wish to make edits we suggest that you delete the Scheduled Stream and setup a new one.
Can I deleted a Scheduled Stream?
Yes, you can. Navigate to either your Channel or click on "Streams" from your Dashboard, scroll to the thumbnail of the Scheduled Stream you would like to delete and click on the Delete ( ? ) icon.
I have scheduled a stream and want to close my browser, is that ok?
It sure is! Once you have clicked "Schedule Stream," you can closer your SportsCastr tab, your entire browser, log out of SportsCastr, restart your computer, whatever you like. None of these actions will interfere with your scheduled stream.
Do Scheduled Streams expire?
They do, actually, three (3) hours after they're scheduled time. So, for example, if you schedule a stream for 12pm and do not click "Start Now" by 3pm, the Scheduled Stream will automatically delete.
Can I have co-hosts on a Scheduled Stream?
Totally! If you toggle "Enable Co-Hosts" ON while setting up your Scheduled Stream, then Co-Hosting will be enabled once you start that stream. This means that if you have "Enable Co-Hosts" toggled OFF, then when you start your Scheduled Stream you will not be able to include co-hosts.
Can I use OBS during a Scheduled Stream?
Yes you can! If you toggle "Stream with OBS" ON while setting up your Scheduled Stream, then OBS will be enabled once you start that stream. This means that if you have "Stream with OBS" toggled OFF, then when you start your Scheduled Stream you will not be able to use OBS during your Scheduled Stream.
